2004 Wyoming Antelope By Lynn Krueger
It takes so many people to volunteer their time to help us that in my mind they are special. This hunt was so much fun for me as I had the opportunity to hunt with a friend of mine who serves as my guide on many of our hunts, Mike Kelly. Mike and I rarely hunt together, so this was very memorable for me. The trip to Gillette was great as well. It was relaxing and enjoyable meeting the other hunters that share the same hobbies and interest as me. I was able to harvest a very exceptional 11 inch buck plus I took a doe! I can’t tell you how neat it was to see the sun rise and have a flock of 100 plus geese land in a field in front of me, and then as if by magic, an antelope to appear out of nowhere. I think at one time I had about 80 Black Angus cows in front of me too, and that’s no bull! At times, from the blind there were between 150-200 antelope milling around. It was quite a sight! All I can say is that I’d do this hunt again in a heartbeat. Anyone who can, should really experience this Wyoming hunt at least once and take advantage of a truly wonderful experience with wonderful people. |
