NASA Sponsors Youth Essay Contest

The North American Squirrel Association, NASA, is seeking interested
youth with disabilities across the state of Wisconsin to participate in
a special essay contest.  Qualifications for eligible contestants are
youth with disabilities 18 years of age and younger possessing a
hunter's safety certificate.  Applicants are asked to write an essay up
to 500 words on why the outdoors is important to you.  Be sure to
include some information about your disability, if you use any type of
personal mobility device or technology, and your explanation about what
the outdoors means to you.  Winners will be selected by a panel that
will include the project funder.  Qualified youth with disabilities will
have an opportunity to win extraordinary outdoor adventure packages
including 1st place for an all-expense paid guided elk hunt to New
Mexico, 2nd place for an all-expense paid guided bear hunt to northern
Wisconsin, and 3rd place for an all-expense paid guided Salmon and Lake
trout charter on Lake Michigan.  The Essay Deadline is March 31, 2007.
